Mojo - episode four and five

1. What are neurons and how do we make connections between our neurons? Neurons are small things in your brain and then they connect you learn new things. There is only one way to make them connect. You have to challenge yourself and do things that are a but too hard for you.

2.Think of an example where you made some new connections in your brain. What were you doing
One exampel where I made new connections in my brain was when I learned to ride a bike. At first I didn't know how to do it but I practiced a lot and then I knew how to do it.

3. What can you do this week to make some new connections? Set one specific goal.
I can try to learn new words and know how to use them when you speak. I can do this  in many languages for exempel English, Swedish, German, and Greek.

1. What does it feel like when something is too challenging? Is it wrong that we feel this way?
It feels like you can't do anything just because you can do that one thing. If you try something that you thought you could make and then you can't you feel helpless and sad. It isn't wrong to feel that way and i think everyone have felt it sometime in there life.

2. What kind of attitude should we take on when facing a challenge, and why is that important?
You have to be positive and think you can do it. You also have to believe in yourself. If you think this way you will be motivated to continue even if it is challenging.

3. When taking on a challenge, it's okay to ask for help or to take a break to reflect, like Mojo did! Does this mean we aren't growing our brain anymore?
No it only means that you have been growing you brain even more.

Mojo - Episode three

1. What should you do if you are stuck on a project, math problem, or other learning?
If I feel that i can't do it on my own i will ask a friend first. Often we can do it together but if we don't I ask a teacher.
2. Think of a time you were afraid to ask for help. Why did you feel afraid? This summer I was in Greece and went to see some of my friends. I knew where we were meeting but when I came there I didn't recognize anyone. I looked once more but I didn't see anyone i knew. After a while I decided I had to go and ask someone if they knew where they were but I was very nervous and a bit afraid. Then I asked one of the girls if she knew where they where and she showed me. After that I found them and everything was good again. I don't know why I was afraid but after I realized that it didn't was anything to be so nervous about.

3. Why is the word "yet" so powerful? Think of a "yet" moment in your life and describe it.
I think the word "yet" is so powerful because it feels like you have hope that you can do it sometime but not now. You know that if you just keep trying you will do it sometime. I can't think of some"yet"moment in my life but I'm sure that I have some.

Mojo - Episode one and two

  1. Why does Mojo want to leave school? Can you sometimes relate to how Mojo is feeling?
He wants to leave because he doesn't think he is smart enough. The school is getting harder and Mojo thinks it's too hard. I can relate to how he is feeling. Some things in school are hard and then you feel like you aren't smart enough and that you don't want to go in school.

  1. What does Katie say to Mojo to convince him not to leave?
She says that everyone can become smarter and that he only needs to practice on it. The brain is like a muscle and if you practice it becomes stronger and smarter. If the Maths is hard he needs to try to do it and after a while it doesn't look as hard as before.

  1. Do you think Mojo can become smarter? Why or why not?
Yes he can become smarter. Everyone can, you only need to practice more on the things you think are harder.

    4. What subject do you feel frustrated by sometimes? Can you see yourself becoming smarter in that subject? How?
I feel frustrated in Greek. When its hard I don't want to try and i feel like even if I try I'm not good enough to make it. I can become smarter if I try a bit harder and ask for help so it doesn't seem to hard in the beginning.

1. What does the quote from the video, "mistakes can make you smarter" mean to you?
If you make a mistake you can learn from it because then you know it's a mistake and you won't make it again.

2. How can we learn from our mistakes? Talk about a specific, recent example.
I was trying to learn to ride on a hoverboard and I almost fell because i didn't know how to do. I tried again and again until I made it.

3. If you were building a robot and kept "failing,” what would you do?
If I'm in a good mood I would keep trying but get a bit irritated but i wouldn't give up. But if I'm in a bad mood I would get mad at the robot and everyone around me.
