- Why does Mojo want to leave school? Can you sometimes relate to how Mojo is feeling?
He wants to leave because he doesn't think he is smart enough. The school is getting harder and Mojo thinks it's too hard. I can relate to how he is feeling. Some things in school are hard and then you feel like you aren't smart enough and that you don't want to go in school.
- What does Katie say to Mojo to convince him not to leave?
She says that everyone can become smarter and that he only needs to practice on it. The brain is like a muscle and if you practice it becomes stronger and smarter. If the Maths is hard he needs to try to do it and after a while it doesn't look as hard as before.
- Do you think Mojo can become smarter? Why or why not?
Yes he can become smarter. Everyone can, you only need to practice more on the things you think are harder.
4. What subject do you feel frustrated by sometimes? Can you see yourself becoming smarter in that subject? How?
I feel frustrated in Greek. When its hard I don't want to try and i feel like even if I try I'm not good enough to make it. I can become smarter if I try a bit harder and ask for help so it doesn't seem to hard in the beginning.
1. What does the quote from the video, "mistakes can make you smarter" mean to you?
If you make a mistake you can learn from it because then you know it's a mistake and you won't make it again.
2. How can we learn from our mistakes? Talk about a specific, recent example.
I was trying to learn to ride on a hoverboard and I almost fell because i didn't know how to do. I tried again and again until I made it.
3. If you were building a robot and kept "failing,” what would you do?
If I'm in a good mood I would keep trying but get a bit irritated but i wouldn't give up. But if I'm in a bad mood I would get mad at the robot and everyone around me.
