Letter from a backpacker

Dear Mum and Dad,

The days here in Australia have been really great. The flight to Sydney went well but it was very long, it took about 22 hours from Copenhagen. At the airport in Sydney I met our friends from Canberra. 

We spent the next three days in Sydney and we went climbing on Sydney Harbour Bridge. From the bridge we also saw the opera house and took many good pictures that I will show you when I come back. We spent one day on a beach called Manly Beach. Manly Beach is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Sydney. The beach was really nice and we had a great day. On our last day in Sydney went for some shopping before we took the airplane to Cairns.

We are going to spend the last two days here. In Cairns we went snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. It was very cool but also really scary because some of the fish were bigger than me. It was so beautiful with all the colors from the fishes and the corals. It's too bad that you aren't here, you would love it, but I filmed very much with the camera that you gave me on my birthday. On my last day in Australia we decided to just explore the city and relax. Now I'm soon going onboard on the airplane so I have to finish this letter. See you soon.
